Where did the name "Chasin' Time" come from?
We can't really say... no special meaning... in the hectic world we all live in, we need to chase to find the time to do what we love... play great rockin' blues music!
Chasin' Time... The Musicians:
Chasin' Time is composed of 5 unique musicians with many years of experience performing in various bands in the western suburbs.
Lorrie Jones, who sings lead vocals on most songs, is our extremely talented new singer. She joined up with the 4 guys from Clyde in 2008. Lorrie tackles a wide variety of musical styles, shouting out some Janis Joplin, purring on some Norah Jones, rockin' on some Susan Tedeschi or Led Zepplin, all with ease.
Larry Schackmann, on bass guitar was a founding member of Cotton Eyed Clyde. Larry had to leave the band several years ago due to work commitments. We are pleased to have him back once again, as he was able to rejoin the band in early 2005.
Don Dieckmann plays drums and percussion. Don joined Clyde in 2003 and is the rockin' power behind Chasin' Time's philosophy of "Rockin' the Blues". Don previously performed in The Mark Brandt Band, Bakerstreet and Blue Rose and 3XO.
George Lyle, Chasin' Time's lead guitarist, plays a sizzling guitar, and also sings some lead and backing vocals. George joined Clyde early in 2004, and has previously performed with Danny and the Twisters and Professional Confusion. George has also written a number of original songs, which Chasin' Time performs. You may also see George around town playing with The Mannequins.
Brian Duy plays slide and lead guitar and also sings some lead and backing vocals. Brian joined Cotton Eyed Clyde late in 2005. His talents on slide guitar give us many more musical options, and the dual leads he plays with George are something to hear. Brian also lays down monster bass lines for his own band, Wise Crack.
